Updated July 27, 2008 Automatically updating channel list
Description:
foo_xm will allow you to listen to XM Radio channels over the Internet by using
XM Radio Online. I originally wrote foo_xm to use XM Radio Online in Windows 2000
without having Windows Media Player 9 installed (a configuration I could not get
to function using XM's implementation). Maybe you'll find a use for it too.
Requirements:
Installation:
Place foo_xm.dll into the components folder.
Usage:
Enter your username
and password into the XM Radio Online configuration page inside foobar2000. Due
to custom authentication, delivery, and metadata methods, you will have to add XM
channels in a special fashion. Add XM channels by adding the location xm://channel
to foobar2000 (example: xm://47 for Ethel). There is a menu
command that will create a new playlist with all known channels for you.
Download:
foo_xm 1.2.0 (127KB) for foobar2000 0.9.x
foo_xm 1.0.1.1 (600KB) for foobar2000 0.8.x
(for 98/ME/NT4... not updated any more)
I'm interested if foo_xm is useful or if you have any other comments!
